A Therapeutic Boarding School provides:

An academic program that is recognized and certified by regional accrediting agencies. The boarding school program should model as closely as possible the curriculum and activities provided by a traditional boarding school.

A comprehensive and intensive clinical program with Master's level therapists to address the emotional, behavioral and addiction needs of the students and their families. The structured individual and group therapy as well as adherence to a strong 12 Step program teaches at risk, defiant teenagers how to deal with behavioral and situational issues. But more importantly helps them to develop insightful thinking and instills in them the tools to carry them throughout life.

Ridge Creek Boarding School has a unique wilderness program that involves students in an experiential education with outdoor leadership activities each weekend.

We know the anxiety , frustration , and fear that parents experience when faced with an oppositional defiant teenager. Ridge Creek Boarding School was created to help these children learn how to become mature and responsible. Our goal is to fully develop a child in physical, social, spiritual, academic, and emotional areas. We have been extremely pleased with the success rate of the graduates of our therapeutic program.

At times the feeling of helplessness can become overwhelming for parents dealing with angry children. There is hope for getting them back on a productive path. Our highly trained counseling, academic and recreation staff are dedicated to working with our students.
